it’s been a fantastic experience.

I’ve just completed the Grouse course and it’s been a fantastic experience. Steve provides structured guidance on building the foundations of key gundog skills, obedience and steadiness. It gave me a much better understanding of how to train my dog with confidence and consistency with a lot of fun along the way and with a great group of people. The course helped me build a stronger bond with my dog through positive, effective training. Highly recommend for anyone starting out in their gundog training journey.

Highly recommended

I've been to a few trainers in the last couple of years with my Lab, Harry, and realise just how much time and money I had wasted. I have had a couple of 121s with Steve so far, and Harry has come on so much in those sesssions. He is now walking on and off lead at heel, recalls much faster than before, and has begun to enjoy his retrieving. Dont waste your time or money going anywhere else get in touch with Steve if you want to actually get somewhere with your dog.

We do a two hour round trip he’s that good!

We cannot recommend Steve highly enough! We tried several other trainers all of which made us feel we’d made a huge mistake getting two brothers walking together was impossible, treats didn’t work after a while they soon realised how to get around it!…we were told we wouldn’t be able to walk them together until they were much older. Steve was the only trainer who didn’t judge us….and in just one session with each of our boys we left with two totally different dogs…(I cried on the way home) we now happily walk them together I can even walk them on my own…he works absolute magic but explains everything to you. My two absolutely love going to Steve’s and so do we!…don’t waste your money anywhere else! (We do a two hour round trip he’s that good!)

Our ecollar training has been truly amazing, I highly recommend if you are having recall troubles!

Me and my crazy cocker have just completed our ecollar training with Steve. I never thought we would see the day that Archie could walk off lead by our side and coming back as soon as he is asked, instead of 3 fields away ignoring us completely🙈. It was virtually impossible to walk him off the lead, and we were constantly worried about his escapes from the house, but now his recall is truly amazing and he doesn’t even attempt to escape. Steve has been amazing throughout, teaching us everything step by step and being such a great teacher. I feel at ease now knowing Archie is safe to walk off lead and enjoy his freedom. He enjoys his walks so much more, and so do I. I can’t recommend Steve enough to guide you through this training. If you are thinking about it, do it! We look forward to coming back for some gundog training soon🥰 Thank you Steve!

Well where do I begin?? Steve is fabulous!!

from starting with my 2 year old cocker (who would not listen at all), I made the decision to take him to Steve and WOW! All I can say is "I wish I done this sooner"!! Steve has so much knowledge and skills and a really amazing technique of teaching you how to get the very best out of your relationship with your fury companion🐾 Not only has Steve helped Rolo, he has given me so much more confidence. Rolo is a different dog and now much more engaged with me and a whole lot calmer and his recall is spot on! Friends and Family have noticed such a positive difference in Rolo🥰 I can't recommend Steve enough to anyone. So thanks a million!! Here's to much more enjoyable walks and learning each day 🥰

Straight Talking, no BS

Have been taking my Lab to Steve for close to 2 years, from a pup. Steve is straight talking, clear with instruction, and easy to talk to if I have any problems with Bert or my training. Thoroughly recommended

Game Changer

1:1 with Steve today was an absolute game changer. He really knows dogs, and as importantly their humans! He listens to concerns and worries and offers constructive, achievable advice. Never criticised and helped us work out what we could be doing better. We were never made to feel incapable and came away with more confidence. How our dog immediately responded to him in a respectful, positive way was incredible! If you are thinking about 1:1 with Steve. Don’t hesitate, just go for it!

Absolutely Brilliant

I brought Sidney for a Gun for Fun session - suffice to say Sid did not take to it and I was quite upset but Steve was so brilliant and said to go back for a one-to-one and we would get through the problems. When we went back Sid was a completely different dog and, in the nicest possible way, Steve gave me subtle clues (some not so subtle!) as to what could be done and we have got another session booked in already. I have much more confidence now - Steve has so much understanding of the relationships between dogs/owners and notices the slightest thing - over the moon that we have found him and Sid will go from strength to strength (though not in the vocal cord area!!)
